How to type an Umlaut


Holdkey basic and Holdkey pro

Hold the u and choose 1 from the popup menu to get ü
Hold the e and choose 1 from the popup menu to get ë


Holdkey pro

Type " (the symbol next to the enter key) twice followed by an u result ü
Type " (the symbol next to the enter key) twice followed by an e result ü

So " "u gives ü

Also Windowskey plus u gives ü or Shift-Windowskey plus u gives Ü


This also works for ä ï and several other characters.
